The Co-founder & CEO of India’s largest eyewear brand Lenskart, Peyush Bansal has become a household name ever since he started appearing on the reality show Shark Tank India.
Lenskart achieved massive growth since its inception in 2010, reaching a valuation of $ 1.5 billion in 2019 and entered the elite unicorn club.
After failing to realise his initial dream of getting admission to an IIT, he went on to do his Bachelors of Engineering from McGill University, Canada after which he worked for tech giant Microsoft as a Program Manager in 2007.
He soon returned to India and pursued a management diploma in Entrepreneurship from IIM, Bangalore.
He launched SearchMyCampus.com , then rated as India’s no. 1 Campus Classifieds Portal that catered exclusively to student needs such as books, part-time jobs, carpooling, internship opportunities and housing.

He is the recipient of the ‘Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award’ 2012 for his venture Valyoo Technologies and was awarded ‘Emerging Entrepreneur of the year’ in the Indian e-tail Awards 2012. He received the ‘India TV Yuva awards’ (in the business category) in 2015.
Economic Times recognized Peyush Bansal under ‘India’s Hottest Business Leaders under 40’. He was also listed in Fortune India’s ‘Best 40 under 40 entrepreneurs in 2019’.
